MineCon 2012 Announced!

The venue for this years MineCon has been announced, and kids, you'll love this one, its to be held in Disneyland Paris on the 24th and 25th of November!

MineCon, for the unaware, is the convention for the wildly popular video game "Minecraft" in which the player crafts their own world from blocks, battling monsters and creating anything you can imagine from the awesome, (huge mansions and pixel art) to the strange, (huge phalluses) to the just plain bad (and what most of us build, dirt houses.)

 the convention started in 2010 named "MinecraftCon" and was simply a spontaneous meeting of just over 50 fans (including one in a creeper costume!) in a field in Washington. In 2011 after the widespread success of the game, the convention was shortened to "MineCon" and was held in Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas on the 18th November, attracting an audience of 4,500. attendees were given special in game capes and various other Minecraft related goodies!

Hopefully I should be attending along with the other bloggers from this site aswell as my girlfriend, we shall fly the flag for GeeksUsedBlog and collect all the Minecraft swag we can! See you there?
